Christine Reno

Christine Reno is Professor of French and Francophone Studies at Vassar College.  She received her Ph.D. in Romance Languages from Yale University in 1972.  She has published numerous scholarly articles on Christine de Pizan, and on other texts ranging from paleography in medieval manuscripts to women in Voltaire. With Liliane Dulac she has published a new critical edition of the Advision, for Champion, and with Gilbert Ouy and Inès Villela-Petit, a study of Christine de Pizan’s manuscript workshop titled Album Christine de Pizan (Brepols, 2012). To Women’s Works, Volume 1, Prof. Reno has contributed “Christine de Pizan in England,” while also providing much invaluable assistance with Anglo-Norman and Old French manuscripts.
